What’s different about teaching at White Stone?
Two things that stand out in making White Stone different is our culture and instructional freedom.
Culture.
White Stone has a team approach in how we operate. In place of having a principal or head master, we have a Campus Director that works alongside teachers who also serve as Team Leads. They work together with the staff and admin to ensure things run as smoothly as possible. This approach ensures voices are heard and our mission is fulfilled. As a result, we look for people that are problem solvers, sincere, and emotionally intelligent.
Instructional Freedom.
We strive to give our teachers as much freedom as possible and we refuse to micro manage their approach. You won’t find a pacing guide, a pre selected curriculum, or an administration adverse to taking risks. You will, however, find that White Stone does have a strong mission that is bigger than any one individual and we are extremely committed to seeing that vision realized (individualized and responsive education).
If you see yourself working in an environment that seeks to empower you with as much freedom as possible while also ensuring a team approach, WSA will be a great fit.
